Husband slept in my bed!

OK, this is how it should be, right?  Husband & wife sleeping in the same bed.  But with his surgeries, Husband has spent more time out of my bed than in it.  I've been cold at night, using two blankets to replace his warmth and nesting a little by positioning pillows where he normally would sleep.  Sad, I know.  But I missed his presence.  Mostly, I missed our talking before sleep.

After his first surgery and through rehab, he had started sleeping in our bedroom more often.  Just before his second surgery, the one to combat the hidradenitis suppurativa, he had been able to make it all the way through the night in the bed at least a couple times a week.  However, he'd spent most of his time in the recliner in the Living Room.

Then he had the skin surgery.  All sleep in the bedroom ceased.  He's finally feeling good enough to try sleeping in the bed.  His wound is now only 15cm by 6 cm.  Quite a reduction.  He still has a long way to go.  He made it four hours last night.  It was wonderful!  We're going to keep trying. . . and he'll keep healing.  I just have to make sure his side of the bed doesn't get cluttered!
