My momentum is contagious. Tonight, as it took him an hour and a half to drive home in the ice and snow, Husband decided it was time to make room in the garage for my car. He was going to do this on his own, but mentioned it to me and I helped him. For the first time since we moved in, all three of our cars (two Saturns and a minivan) are parked in the garage! Truly a milestone for us.
I'm ashamed to say that we don't have just a three car garage. From the outside, our house looks like a three car garage. But it has a fourth tandem bay. Yet, this is the first time all three of our cars have been parked inside.
This was achievable due to the Lawn Tractor being away for service and winterization (should be back in a couple more days). We also put some effort into it. The bay where my car (the one that was waiting for a space since it's the oldest of the three) would go was occupied by the Lawn Tractor, our trash cans, and a whole lot of cardboard boxes that we wanted to recycle and not throw away. Tonight, we broke them all down and prepared them for Tuesday's trash day when they pick up the recycling. We put some things in the basement (tricycles, tote with my youth group T-shirts, and a few odds and ends). We threw a lot of paper and trash away. Then we moved the minivan over and drove my car into the garage. It fit.
Now, to clean out the tandem bay so we can fit the lawn tractor in there when it comes back. But that's another day. All I know is that I don't have to go outside in the morning to warm up my car and scrape off ice and snow. I'm so excited!!!
