Of Pinkeye, Broken Arms, Fevers, & Thunderstorms

Haven't posted a lot lately.  I could use the old excuse that I'm busy and tired, but I'm always busy and tired.  I continue to have issues with my eyes.  We've now done antibiotics, antihistamines, and now steroid eye drops and artificial tears.  My eyes were better until I started wearing contacts again.  Now they're red again.  Good thing I'm seeing the eye doc for a follow-up tomorrow.

Husband continues to rehabilitate his arm and rotator cuff from his surgery.  I can't believe he broke it in January, had surgery in February, and we're still having issues in June.  He now has to file an appeal to get more physical therapy sessions approved since he has almost reached the end of the 45 session limit.

Yesterday, Husband came home early because of pain in his arm.  Then he ratcheted up to a 101 degree temperature.  This morning, he doesn't have a temperature, but he isn't feeling well and is going to PT and then coming home.  Oh, and did I mention he's on antibiotics again because of a hole under his arm that the doctor isn't sure what it is?  He's had one before and they just cut it out.  They'll probably do that again with this one.

Husband is only sporadically sleeping in our bed, preferring instead the recliner.  This actually came in handy last night when we experienced torrential downpours and serious thunderstorms.  While Hannibal, the youngest, slept soundly through the entire night, Igor ended up sleeping on his dad's side of the bed.  With every crack of thunder, he was on my side holding me because he was scared.  They woke me up, too, so I can't fault him.  Some of them shook the whole house.

All in all, it makes for a tired mom.  Oh, and I stayed home Friday for the worst headache I've had in years.  It went away (after copious amounts of medication) finally on Saturday.  I went back to work on Monday and now it's back.  Shhh. . . don't tell anyone.  I'm keeping my issues to myself since Husband is such a mess.  I'll make it through this week - well, until Thursday when I get my wisdom teeth pulled.
